Amy Franks, Director
Amy attended undergrad at the University of Alabama and received her Masters in Health Administration at UNF. She has over 15 years of experience in Church Ministry and has served in BSF Leadership, Women's Ministry, and is currently the
Youth Director at SUMC.
John Franks, President
John has worked in healthcare for over 25 years and was previously the EVP, Ambulatory Enterprise, at Flagler Health+. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University and a Master of Health Administration from the University of North Florida.
Sally MacKay
Sally MacKay is a licensed occupational therapist with a heart for working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Her passion began while at the University of Florida, working with the Inclusive Fitness and Unified Sports Program.
She graduated with her master's from Florida Gulf Coast in 2019 and has been working for Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital since graduation.
Josh Thiele
Josh is a Physics Engineering student at the University of North Florida.
He has many years of experience in the food and restaurant service industry and makes a fantastic cup of coffee. Josh has also worked in Youth Ministry for five years and has a heart for building community.
Mark Johnson, Board Member
Mark is the President and CEO of Florida Capital Bank. He is also the past Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers of America Secondary Capital Markets Committee, a past member of the Fannie Mae Southeast Region and Residential Funding Corporation Advisory Boards, and a graduate of the School of Mortgage Banking. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Valdosta State College.
Bob Joel, Board Member
Robert Joel, CFP®, is the Co-founder of Salvus Wealth Management and serves as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of the firm. He holds a BA in History from Florida State University and was awarded the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1996. He is active in the local non-profit community and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Youth Crisis Center Properties and Amplify, Inc.
Tom Rossi, Board Member
Tom has 20 years of experience in leading software development companies. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida. He was the founder and president of Capernaum, Inc, a successful software company that specialized in web application development. He then co-founded Molehill, LLC., StreamCare, and Higher Pixels.
Lisa Leuthold, Board Member
Lisa is a serial entrepreneur with 25 years of experience owning various retail, hospitality, and property management businesses. She graduated from the University of Florida with degrees in sociology and architecture. Lisa currently owns Heyday Children's store which recently opened a second location at Jacksonville Beach.
Alan Ridge, Board Member
Alan Ridge is Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Coastal Construction Products Inc. Alan hold s a B.A. from Valdosta State University and a M.S. from Florida State University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the SEAL Group, World Affairs Council Jacksonville, and Happy Brew.
Mara Webb, Board Member
Mara is a Marketing and Creative Strategist. She currently works as the marketing director for SUMC and serves as the President of Broad Street Children's Foundation. She graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration and Management from Salem College.
Debbie Johnson, Board Member
Debbie is a Certified Public Accountant and has more than thirty-five years of accounting and managerial experience. In addition, she has more than thirty years of dedicated community service to numerous nonprofits and organizations, assisting in the areas of finance, governance, operations, leadership, and strategic planning. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Florida. She currently serves on the boards of The Arc Jacksonville, Groundwork Jacksonville, and Slough Ministries International. At her alma mater, she serves on its Foundation Board and Student Affairs Community Council. She is a member of Leadership Jacksonville’s Class of 2011.
Christy Iglesias, Board Member
Christy is an experienced Special Education teacher with years of experiences. Driven by her passion to find employment for adults with IDD, she takes pride in providing instruction that focuses on social and vocational skills. She is currently the Project Search Instructor at North Florida School of Special Education and the Friends Ministry Director at SUMC.
Mark Thiele, Board Member
Mark is a lay member of SUMC and services on various committees, he also volunteers for many not-for-profit and professional organizations. He is a licensed architect and holds a NCARB 5 yr. bachelor’s degree of architecture from the University of Miami. Mark is currently the unit head of architecture and design services for Mayo Clinic Florida.
Meghan Woods, Board Member
Meghan is a mental health counselor at Elite DNA Behavioral Health. She completed her internships at The Arc Jacksonville working with individuals and groups living with IDD. She is a Peer Mentor through the Christopher & Dana Reeves Foundation and Brooks Rehabilitation, where she encourages and supports individuals transitioning and adjusting to life with an acquired disability. Having walked through most of her life with a disability from a traumatic car accident, Meghan is passionate about helping and advocating for people with disabilities.
Rachel Brubaker, Board Member
Rachel is a public health occupational therapist working for a non-profit adaptive sports program at Brooks Rehab. She has 4 years of experience working as an occupational therapist and 2 years of experience working as a behavioral specialist for the IDD community. She has consulted with several church boards and the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association in an effort to promote disability ministries.
